VECTOR ILLUSTRATIONS

Transforming complexity
into beautiful simplicity
by creating engaging visuals
to captivate and inform.

Vector, flat design illustrations are a great view to capture attention and deliver content for their simplicity, attractive aesthetics and the fact that they are easily animated.
In this page you will find vector illustrations that I have created for
multiple animation and illustration projects.

The following infographic was created to illustrate the presence of endocrine disruptors in several objects we likely come into contact with every day. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can interfere with some aspect of hormone action at certain doses. They can be present in very common objects and materials, which means we are exposed to them daily.

These illustrations are part of my first animation project, The Cell Cycle.

World where phase G1 of the cell cycle takes place

World where phase S of the cell cycle takes place

World where phase G2 of the cell cycle takes place

World where phase M of the cell cycle takes place

Main charcter of the Cell Cycle animation. She represents the cell

This castle guard represents p53, the Guardian of the Genome

This Wizard represents E2F, a transcription factor that enables G1 to S transition during the cell cycle

Cell death can be caused by p53 if there is irreparable damage to the DNA, to avoid proliferation of faulty cells

During the M phase, the cell checks whether the chromosomes are aligned and attached to the mitotic spindle

This locked chest represents the Retinoblastoma protein, which holds E2F prisoner

This open chest represents the Retinoblastoma protein once it has been phosphorylated and it has freed E2F

When DNA is undamaged, the cell cycle can progress

If there is irreparable damage to the DNA, proteins within the cell stop the cell cycle and cause the cell to die

WHY VECTOR ILLUSTRATION?

Vector-based images are made up of geometric shapes such as lines, curves and polygons, in contrast to raster images, which are made up of pixels.

The awesome thing about vectors is that they allow images to be scaled indefinitely without losing quality.
They are also usually easy to edit.
